My friend and I were going to see a show in Chelsea. The skies were grey and the rain was coming down. A group of people got in line behind us, and I recognized one of them. We did the usual ‘catching up’ and introductions. There was this one tall, lean boy with platinum blonde curls. We spent the night at the show all together as one large group. The longer we all hung out the more I got a sense of the tall blonde boy’s character. He was energetic and good natured. I knew there were more layers to the cake though. That was six months ago, since then the blonde boy and I became good friends. His name was Gabrio Veizhans. I was right, there were way more layers to him than anticipated. I found out he was a really talented musician and graphic designer with many aspirations.
Gabs love for graphic design started when he was in kindergarten at the age of seven. That was his form of fun, while the other kids were playing with toys. He carried this passion for drawing and art through his life. He draws his own album covers, makes t-shirt designs, and more. This opened the doors to the creative world for Gab because shortly after that is when his music career surfaced.
When Gab was 11, he started to make music. Although this was when his music journey began, he was introduced to the musician lifestyle much earlier by his parents. His father is a producer, DJ and his mother was in a band. His parents met through a drum and bass club. In 2016, Gab’s father had put a studio into the basement. Gab experimented with this, making songs consisting of just beats. “Around that time I started making music for the first time ever. Which you will never see me release because I was 11.” After this, his music and beats consistently got better. He has one album, a few singles and EPs. He also makes music with his buddies from Productive Honey.
To say the least, Gab’s career is just taking off. He recently published a book 'Gab’s Book', that sold out in less than a week. He is also getting more and more streams as well improving his music quality. He has many goals and is working hard to meet them - that’s what's in the sand box.

Q- When did you decide to make shifts in your career?
A- ‘My mom moved out of New York City when I was 17, so I had to make the choice of either moving to North Carolina with mom or to stay in NYC and moving in with my friends. So I said ‘Fuck it!’ I wanted to see where it took me, I didn’t have a job or anything like that. I tried it out, moved in with them, and now it's been 7 months strong, I've been better than ever.’
Q- What are your sources of inspiration as someone who inspires others?
A-’My top artists of all time are Tyler, The Creator and Pharrell. I’ve gotten some comparisons in life, which I'm flattered by. They are my two biggest inspirations. They both have amazing fucking productions and were both were outcasts and made it possible.’
Q-Do you feel the success of others encourages you to work harder or discourages you?
A-’ The success of others definitely makes me want to work harder, I have so many friends that have blown up and it just makes me want to go 10 times harder. It's nothing personal, just some friendly competitions, you know?
Q- Do you feel the people you meet help develop you as a creative?
A-’ Yeah, for sure, I think I'm very influenced by my surroundings and friends. My friends are one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to literally everything, especially the arts. I wouldn't be where I am right now without my friends, you know? I love these dudes’
